However, if ...It is really okay not to like a book. However, if you choose to try again, and if you are considering one of his epics, then I might suggest the Night's Dawn Trilogy. The first book is The Reality Dysfunction. It is huge but thoroughly enjoyable. I was exposed to his work in short story form and it put me off enough that I didn't feel a big urge to read his novels. <br /><br />And you are correct, it is more than okay to not like something, even if it seems like everyone else does.
